I will try and make this brief . I was food allergy tested yesterday , highly intolerant to so many things , including fruit which I eat copious amounts of . I was told I eat way too much sugar ( not disputing ) and that I had a gut full of yeast . So need to starve my body of all sugars , fats , wheat , oats , rye , fruit , vinegars , potatoes , pasta , onion family , leafy green family the list is endless .
I have tried this detox today and am so miserable and have not stuck to it fully as am so limited . I have been told to do this for 3 months and I have not managed one day : (
I find dieting hard enough and this seems extreme to me ?
I can cope with gluten free bread etc but no fruit , onions , garlic , balsamic , potatoes , broccoli , chocolate ,cakes ........
The list is endless !!
I came out of the clinic armed with supplements and potions now I can't be bothered and sm
cross with myself for spending money i dont have . Something else I i have tried and will add to my list of things I have tried . Just wanted people's honest opinions ?! If you have some spare friend space , please add : )
If your not asleep from reading this I will shout you a nice chilled glass of ........ water !!!

What ARE you supposed to eat for three months? I have tried juice detoxes, and they are fantastic, but you get fruit sugar and green leafies in the homemade juices.

Whoa. I'm not sure about that. Trying to cut out fats, but including a bunch of dairy and meat sounds wrong, but i'm not exactly sure what your condition is, so i don't want to tell you anything for sure. Most detoxing diets i have read about and tried included fruit, water, and green leafy veg. Dr. Douglas Graham makes a very compelling argument in his book "The 80/10/10 Diet" that internal fungus issues, like yeast, are cleared up by eating the type of food that humans are supposed to be eating. Don't take my word for it, as i'm new to this myself, but do google it.

I did a detox once, where it was an elimination diet over the course of ten days. Days 5-7, you only drank the supplement shake mixed with water or apple juice. Pretty sure I could only eat pears and apples those days. I did it with a friend who was trying it out at a chiropractors office she works for. It did help me with the sugar cravings. I lost almost 10 pounds that week but gained that plus few more in the next two weeks. So to cleanse your body I think on some level it makes sense, but to lose weight (which it doesn't sound like you're focusing on) I don't think it does.

I have two cousins with stomach issues similar to yours and their doctors put them on some sort of antibiotic (I think they were maybe dealing with bacteria, not yeast) and they had to change their diets, but it was to the opposite of what yours seems to be telling you. They need to eliminate all dairy and meat, though they still eat fish from time to time.

If it doesn't feel right to you, or you need a plan you can stick with to get better I'd seek a second opinion.

I;m going to add you as a friend and maybe can support each other. I'm on day 4 of a 3 week detox ordered by my Naturopath. No dairy, soy, gluten, potatoes, white foods, peppers, certain fruits, peanuts, butter, and I already don;t eat meat. I;m not sure how much longer I can do this either!!

no. another way to separate yourself from your money, but not your fat.

You can resolve your yeast issues with Apple Cider Vinegar and Extra Virgin Coconut Oil.

Google "ACV for yeast" -- do that first. Tastes gross, but will help immensely with sugar cravings and bloating.

After the ACV, switch to coconut oil (it will be a welcome change).

    Add probiotics.

No need to to the Yeast-free-diet.

    blessings.

Out of curiosity, where did these results and meal plan come from? I just have a had tome believing any doctor or nutritionist would make such a radical diagnosis. Were you have any issues with these foods before you were tested? It just all seems really fishy to me. It's also worth asking if these are allergies or sensitivities. I can't eat peppers or onions in large amounts because they'll upset my stomach, but I can eat them in smaller amount occasionally. It may just be you need to reduce these foods, rather than omit them entirely. Of course, like I said, I curious where this diagnosis came from.

I personally think detoxes are silly, especially ones you pay for. Just another diet scam, in my opinion. If I want to detox, I just make sure to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables for a few days until my body is feeling back to normal.

I had the same issue (only not as intense). I got the "Allergy self help cookbook" by marjorie Jones and Marjorie has helped incredibly!

Who gave you this advice? A doctor? Nutritionist? It sounds odd and extreme to me.
