First of all, excellent work losing and maintaining that loss! You are better off today than you were three years ago
The only thing I can say is keep plugging away at it. Don't deny yourself so much that you overcompensate and fall off the wagon completely. Lots of people set mini goals. It's easier to stay motivated for a smaller goal than one that seems too far away. Don't give up, you can do this!0 -
The body is amazingly adaptable. The mind however, that takes more work! If you can change your mind set, you can change your body. It sounds like you are doing some of the right things in order to lose weight in the first place and to maintain it for an extended period of time. Your body is now used to that way of life so it's time to switch it up a little. Either exercise more or eat less/different types of foods. I started out making small substitutions like a pop allowance, out to dinner once a week, no 2nd helpings, attending zumba twice a week. Little by little the weight came off. Then I did weight watchers for a little while which helped me to eat more fruits and veges and less processed crap. Now I eat pretty "clean" most of the time, appropriate portions, do zumba and fitness bootcamp. For me it has been taking small steps and keeping things new and exciting. Once you feel you have conquered one goal it is easy to set a new one and keep them going! Congrats on taking intiative to acheive your goals0

I can understand, it IS hard to stick with a different way of eating, when there are so many temptations all around us every day.
I'm a great beleiver in moderation - so my best suggestion is to make small changes, and not all at once.
Don't immediately drop to 1200 calories (it's just not necessary for most people!), set yourself up with a small calorie deficit and focus on improving one meal at a time. Once you have a healthy breakfast habit, work on lunch, dinner, snacks etc.
Find some exercise that you love and a goal to work to - attending a class, joining a sponsored walk, signing up for a race just for a few examples.
Good luck, you can do it!0 -
You stick with it by deciding that you're tired of being fat. You stick with it because you want to see the next 32 years. You stick with it because you want to make yourself better.0

I can help you.
You need to stop being comfortable. You need to make the decision each day that you will do something better for yourself. You need to make choices with each meal that are better for you than the alternative. One at a time. One meal, one workout, one day. At the end of each day you need to congratulate yourself for your choices and your successes. And you need a support team. Get on here every day. Add friends to motivate you and for you to be motivated by others progress.
Add me as a friend to start. This is the beginning for you.0 -
I'm pretty much on board with what everyone else is saying. You've obviously been doing great so far, but you've reached a point where you're likely needing to make additional changes to continue to lose.
Small or short-term goals are the absolute best in my book. Kept me motivated as I kept reaching my goals.
Recognize and remind yourself WHY you want to do this... always... It has to mean something to you, or you won't strive harder.
Also, if you've been on MFP a while and have been using and logging your daily calories, it might be time to "reset" those goals. Every 10 lbs or so you need to go into it and have it re-calculate your daily goals based on your current weight ... I'm assuming your gender and such hasn't changed ;0). The unfortunate truth is that the less we weigh, the fewer calories we can intake to maintain the deficit needed for continued weight loss.
Best of luck to you... you're already WAY into this and successful, just give yourself a little extra shove!0 -
thanks everyone for your support. I hate logging my calories tho. especially since I don't eat much except for dinner maybe lunch0

What do you mean you don't eat much? Why do you hate tracking your food?0
-
because I don't like counting calories0
