This past week I've been extremely tired, so haven't worked out besides a few walks with the kids.. I normally do 30ds, c25k, and elliptial like 5 days a week. I've kept up on the dieting though.. and have noticed that I've lost more weight this week then I normally do. What gives?

Some of our weight when we're exercising a lot is fluid retention as our muscles heal. That's why so many people are quick to say, "I've gained muscle!" when they start a new program, but it's just water weight from inflammation. Since you're not stressing your muscles, that water weight is gone.

This is why i don't do too much cardio, if i do i my body resists big time!
Although for some as mentioned above, water can be responsible, this does not hold true for me personally.
Im a big believer in to much cardio can be counter-productive.

Exactly this, loss of water weight is all. Keep exercising, even if it's lighter than usual. If you stop, you will actually end up being more sore (assuming you are not carrying an injury), and it will be harder to get back into the habit of exercising.

If it is just muscle soreness that is holding you back, work through it!!

Ive had 5 kids (4 pregnancy's). Generally I start counting points(WW) when my babies are newborns and I get back to my goal weight fast. This time I began exercising at 6 week post partum and dieting and the weight is slow to come off. If I didn't love working out so much I would take a few weeks off, count calories and get back to my ideal weight! I must say I feel much stronger and have much better cardiovasular endurance working out while dieting.

Depends really people have to experiment with it, that's how i got to know how my body reacts to different scenarios. For me anything more than 40mins moderate intensity 5x a week

this is relaly really intersting - i have been killing myself with cardio for so long but thinking the same thing - not only does it make me 'bulk up', i get hungrier so i eat more too!!!

The only downside of beginning to cut that is that i love the endorphins.......... and i do feel my metabolisim kick in with the cardio - how do you counter those 2 factors?

If its working for you there is no need to change anything, but if your having problems maybe cutting back on the cardio may help. It is very individual, you would really have to try it for yourself, one size doesn't fit all.

Thats happened to me too. I believe Lorinas right with the water thing. Sometimes i have to rest inbetween spurts of exercise because the inflammation its pretty painful and i have to baby and bones. Ive messed up my ribs and spine pretty good. I drink dark cherry juice in my water sometimes to combat inflamation from exercise. I just cant stop exercising because it poofs me up. Then i have to de~poof after get poofed up from exercise. I like the eliptical because it doesnt jar my bones the same as circut or something like insanity.

I have also experienced extreme tiredness this week after upping my cardio, I have a total lack of energy, feeling unwell and a slight tightness of the chest.

I didn't go the gym yesterday and went to my Mum's yesterday and over ate but will push to go today, if I feel up to it, still feel a bit low atm.

this happens to me all the time.ill.exercise real.hard wont see any result then.a.month later after.no exercise and eating whatever get on the scale and 10 pounds is gone.

When I did low carb I was strict until I stopped losing, I. had to carb cycle every month just to.lose 2-5 pounds a month.. going on and off every month for very little.progress was hard...

I think some of our bodies are stubborn, some like to be shaken up, and some like to process weight loss in a lump sum imo..

I am the same way. I have a bad habit of NOT exercising enough and I lose weight just fine... but then if I consistently exercise for a week, I don't lose as much. It's crazy.
