June 100 mile Challenge-Walkers Only

Looking to organize a group of 10 people who are ready to walk 100 miles in June. I am looking for highly motivated people with lots of positive energy ready to taken on this challenge.

We will check in daily with updates and provide lots of support to each other.


Yes I am runner that is now injured but it's time to take on a new challenge.

    OMG 100 miles! That is approximately 3.3 miles per day. haha

    Actually when i put it that way it doesn't sound so scary. Yep count me in. I will be on vacation soon and I plan on doing extensive hiking and walking :)

    I'd love to start this! I am also an injured runner and have had to start logging 7 mile walks just to get close to what I was doing.
    This sounds great! It will take my mind off not being able to run yet.
    Hope there's space for me.

    2.5 miles done!
    97.5 to go
    ( I walk 10 miles on the weekends so I will need to up the ante)

    I use mapmyrun which is great. Also endomondo works--- as well as Runkeeper.

    If you are walking outside, Endomondo is a good app.

    Sorry herb but you have opened a huge can of worms here. This is a terrific challenge but you are certain to get more then 10 people. Can we just post our daily mileage right to this log so that we can all motivate each other on a daily basis? When the log gets full it will just roll over at the end :bigsmile:

    Good morning :)
    I've never participated in ANY sort of challenge, but this seems like one for me :)
    I like to walk every day, but by no means was it ever close to this, so it *will* be a challenge!
    Count me in, and please let me know how/when exactly to report in.

    I know you have 10 already, but I'd love to join. I'm already walking that much routinely, but accountability keeps me going. For example, I already have in 3.65 this morning at 8:00 am. My daily goal is 5 miles.
