Just looking for some support

Hey all,
I'm new. And looking for some support. Earlier in the year I had some surgery done. Found out I have PCOS, and after getting some treatment lost weight and had a bunch of extra skin. I had a tummy tuck and a breast reduction done. I feel really good, still working to lose the last 30 lbs. It's been hard for me since I met my new bf. I know I'm still overweight, but it's hard because he doesn't know how I looked before surgery. So my friends and family are all congratulating me on how good I look, and he's pushing me to lose more weight.
I've been working out a lot, and trying to eat healthier, but I have those days I just want to give up. I spend most of my time at his place since he watches what I eat, if he thinks I'm eating too much he'll happily tell me, and he'll tell me if he thinks the foods I'm choosing are bad. It can certainly get on my nerves, but he means well.
I've started to plateau, and am losing some resolve. Does anyone have any help to get me through the plateau? It's so hard to push through it sometimes. Thanks

  • Hi there. I can tell from your pic that you are young and I must say , very pretty as well.
I'm probably old enough to be your gr. mother and should just keep my views to myself, but I'm butting in anyway and just take it for what it's worth.
Be very careful about letting your boyfriend have any kind of control over you. He really should not be commenting or watching what or how much you eat and he should not be telling you that you need to lose weight. It's not his business. He needs to care about you just the way that you are. Some men can never be satisfied no matter what you do and if you were to reach this goal for him, he could possibly come up with a new criteria for you to meet. From experience, I'm telling you as a gr. mother would talk to her gr. daughter, be careful about this . Don't let any man control you or make you feel like you are lacking or not good enough in any way , shape or form. There are lots of frogs out in the world, but few princes. Don't ever settle for a frog.
