I have to buy a scale today for my first weigh in. I'm a little nervous. I don't want to be disappointed with the numbers. I can see a difference in my body from exercising (the shape). I need some encouragement to get on this scale.

It is just a number....you need to focus on the pounds lost each week. The "number" will go down slowly but surely. Don't be afraid of a number......you are strong and want to conquer the number - that is your fight - you will slay the "number" each week! Go for it and face it head on. You can win!

Agree, just a number. You have to decide, is it the number that rules or is it a healthy lifestyle.

Hope things went well in any case!

Its nice to see the numbers move down, but I dont pay too much attention. Ive switched from purely cardio to cross training, and my scale has hardly budged...however, my clothes are fitting better than ever, some are even getting too big again.

Don't be too afraid of that scale, its how you feel and look that are the important things :)
