New active job!

I've recently just started a new job where I have to run up 3 flights of stairs and back down every 10 minutes or so for the 4 hour shift I do. Plus I walk to and from work which is an extra 40 minutes brisk walking.
My problem is I was on 1400cals and my profile was set at 0 activity level. I then upped it to lightly active as I thought it was more apt for what i'm doing each day but this has only changed it to 1460, which seems quite low considering my new level of activity.
Has anyone got any ideas of what kind of calorie intake I should be having for this?
OR...
I'm a 22yo female who is 5ft8 and weighs 182lbs - Is there anyone out there with similar stats to myself that could share with me their calorie intake?
Thanks,
Charlie

Set it to the next up from "lightly active'. I have no idea where mfp would put you since I'm nowhere near your age, height or weight. I'm ringing in because no one else has and this will bump it up on the boards. But 1460 does seem low for the stair running you're doing. Seems that this is more than lightly active.
Maybe get a heart rate monitor until you find the calorie range you need? How much are you trying to lose? Just keep adding or subtracting calories per week until you're at the pound loss per week you want (or whatever your goal loss per week is).0 -
Okay, thank you i'll try it out.0

OR...(I've been thinking, prepare yourself, lol) Keep your setting at 0 activity and log your work as exercise.
I went to the exercise tab and entered "stairs", and this came up: Running (jogging), up stairs
Pretty close, no downstairs, but these numbers are general anyways. So I'd just enter down and upstairs as the same. Hopefully close enough.
Time yourself when you go down, again when you go up, and keep track that way. Then mfp will give you a general amount of calories that you've burned and it'll readjust your daily totals for you. Or keep activity at 0, and use a heart rate monitor & enter those calories burned.
Without getting into the debate that's on the boards sometimes, I'm for eating exercise calories back, fuel the body. But don't just stick to the numbers mfp or any other page or person gives you, adjust the numbers if you're not losing. Okay, well, stick to them if you find they work well for you. Just don't be discouraged or impatient. Tweak the numbers if needed and keep going.
Alright. Done. Good luck! I hope you love your new job. (congrats, by the way, for the new job!)0
