I snuck in a measure after starting 30 day shred (I'm on day 5). My waist (at the bend) and hips are bigger :(

I drink 10+ cups of water a day, I supplement after workout with Dymatize Iso-100. Stay within my calories and am making good choices (you can check my diary)...

Why is this? It's driving me nuts!! I don't want to 'bulk' up or look blocky...

HELP!!'

It is most likely water retention and once you are done with the program or have a rest day it will go down.

TOM doesn't come for me because I'm postpartum and breastfeeding...

Thanks tho :) its just frustrating and I would like an explanation...

  • Don't panic, the same thing has happened to me, during 30 DS, I realized later that while I started to build muscle I had not yet started to burn fat as quickly. So while it seemed that I had actually gone up in inches it was just sort of a waiting period while i waited for the fat to burn. Ended up losing inches.

i thought i read when you are working your muscles, they retain water as they heal, i am no expert, not even sure if i am remembering it right but its something you can look into

Thank you! It's nice to know I'm not the odd one out! I just wish I wasn't so worried about it...I feel better and notice I can do more of the level one so I am making some progress!

    Come on 30 Days!!!
