I just joined and was wondering if anyone had any tips. I'm looking to get the most of the website. I mostly understand the exercise and food tools but not sure about the blog/post/group stuff. I'm hoping to find support and motivation here. I've joined a couple groups but still not sure how that works. Any suggestions welcome. I'm a 28 year old stay at home mom with about 80 pounds to loose. This is about learning a new way of life for me, and I'm starting from scratch.

I know this seems so obvious but my best tip is drinking lots of water and keeping it handy. In the 1 month I have been on the program, I've noticed that the days I overeat are the days that I don't drink enough. Make sure you fill up your 8 cup glass on your food page daily. Good luck. lessofel0

Let's see....
First, you didn't gain all the weight overnight, and it will take time to come off, too. But, that's ok. Patience is a good thing.
Next, you may see other people taking weight off quicker, or slower. Everyone is different and it will do nothing but cause stress if you try to compare yourself to other people. Just stay on your journey and exercise that patience.
Third, don't beat yourself up if you have a bad eating day. Log everything, regardless. Remember that you're only human, pick yourself up and start in again. I don't think there's a person on this site who hasn't strayed occasionally. Be as kind to yourself as you would be to your best friend.
And, lastly, if you find yourself hungry, eat something. Drink a glass of water and give it 20 minutes first, to make sure it's not just dehydration. Just choose something reasonable and as healthy as possible. This isn't about deprivation and punishment- it's about becoming as healthy as we can be.
