Single moms with little kids

How do you find the time and energy to work out? I was doing well for a while but now I'm completely wiped out -- maybe it's the change of season? I'm still watching what I eat but I just want to sleep whenever I can (and I'm just talking about 8 hours max here!). I work full-time with a 1 1/2-2 hour commute a day and my kids are 7 1/2 and 4.

Any tips?

i'm a single mom, i work full time [bring the baby with me to work i def lucked out with that] and have zero support from his father. i just started turbo jam last night and the baby thinks its hilarious. he's only 2.5 months old so really i have no excuse not to excerise because he sleeps a lot and hes not running around like a 4 year old or anything.. but im hoping it works out for me i wanna keep it up in the evening after work and hell just sit there and watch and laugh at me.

have you tried maybe working out during a lunch break?

Thanks, Karleen, I'll have to see if I can fit some exercise in at lunch. No gym nearby, so I'd have to go running.

    Any other ideas?

I'm not a single mother, but my husband and I work opposite shifts, so for most of the week it feels like I am. At first, I would get up early and go to the gym before work, but there were days I couldn't because my kids got up early or this or that.... I didn't think I had the time to workout at night, but I had to convince myself that working out was a priority. After I put my kids to bed, I work out... before any housework or anything (other than picking up the living room so I don't break my neck during my workout  ) I try to get my kids involved in cleaning up around the house while they are awake ( they are 5, 3, and 1 - it's a challenge  ). Once you actually get into it, it's not so hard anymore. I have more energy this way.
