Was curious if Polar HRM were gender specific or unisex? I'm looking into getting one but wanted to know if I need to look for one that is specifically for a female. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I just brought a Polar ft4 (it it on sale! woo) the bronze womens one. From all the reviews that I saw is that one is bulkier than the other. Yu can input your own age, weight (and gender i think), so that shouldnt matter.

I purchased the polar ft7 from biotrronics.com for around 78 dollars and after ordering they send me a couopn code " POPO" for 5% off. Used the code a couple months later when buying one for a friend and the code worked. They have male and female wathes the females watch is smaller for a smaller wrist.

YES they are... definitely get a women's version. I have a Polar FT60 Womens and love it --- but FT4 and FT7 work just as well and are cheaper. Best prices I found were on Amazon.com

This is the one I have. I bought it on Amazon. I just bought the Flowlink for it last week but it hasn't been delivered yet.

I love my Polar. I don't know what gender it is--I didn't check. It's sort of a raspberry pink, the only pink thing I own for working out.

The difference in the reports from the eliptical machine and my HRM differ wildly--literally by hundreds of calories burned. I'm really glad I have the HRM to get a better report of my activity.

I personally have not been happy with my Polar at all!! I have had 2 Polars now and they both have not worked well at all.....The next time I buy a HRM it will not be a Polar for sure!!

they are gender specific in terms of design (and the female designs tend to have a smaller band), but really you could get any one and it wouldn't make a difference. When entering in your stats, it asks for your gender.
