I've lost 104 lbs since October. I have a lot more to lose but I am proud of my progress and feel 100X better but some days I don't feel it. The last 2 days have been like this. I feel like I havent lost anything at all. I guess it's a mental thing. It's annoying because everyone keeps saying 'awesome job', but I just don't feel it some days.

You fixed it I guess you will have days like this, but you really are doing fantastically well. I think that when you have a lot to lose you can get disheartened. I got to goal and then re-gained, but when I was on my way to goal I had days like that too. Keep looking at your before and so far pics to remind yourself of how far you've come.0

If you have been overweight for an extended period of time, it may be difficult to "let the fat girl go," If you were not used to receiving compliments you may have a hard time accepting them. This is probably just a mental thing you have to work through but stay with it, 104 pounds lost in less than a year is no joke, you should be incredibly proud of yourself.
You had good and bad days fat and you will have good and bad days fit. Whether you feel it or don't feel always remember, you've done well.0 -
We can have days like that....I know I do. The big thing for me is to keep my snacking under control.0

I feel it a lot. I question if I can fit into the booth in a restaurant, I have hard time getting 2XL shirts and gravitate towards 3XL or bigger because I am afraid it will shrink and not fit me. I read somewhere that after significant weight loss the mind takes a while for it to catch up and register.0

Do you have a pair of pants from before? It might be a good time to try them on, just so you can get a visual and how far you have come. I am so proud of you, and you give me such inspiration to start this journey...yet again!0

This is a perfectly normal way to feel. When I get in a slump I try to focus on the "non-scale victory" kind of stuff I've achieved up to this point. Like fitting in a smaller size of pants or being able to walk longer without getting tired. Try to focus on all that you have achieved instead of what you still want to do.0

I totally get what you mean. Sometimes it doesnt matter how far youve come cause you still have such a long way to go or thats what it feels like when you see the number on the scale or your reflection in the mirror. Sometimes, it wont feel good and you wont be happy to eat right or get your exercise in. It will just seem unfair or crappy that you arent where you want to be yet. This is the times that you tell yourself that this is a habit not a hobby. Some people love or learn to love working out. The rest just make it a habit (necessary evil in their life). Just dont give in to the crappy feelings. Keep going and seriously, one day soon, you will be where you want to be.0

You would probably feel worse if no one notice anything you did.0

You lost a teenager, or 14 newborn babies in weight. Its gone, forever. Your brain just hasn't registered it yet. Maybe you need to see the weight in a physical form to make you realise how far you have come. I'm glad people are noticing that you have changed and now you need to do some mental sit ups. When people lose limbs they often still feel pain even though the limb is gone. Maybe you still feel the weight of the fat you were carrying even though it is long gone. Either way, I hope you feel your victory soon and continue of your path to a healthy fit you.0

No longer thinking like a heavy weight can take some time!! I sometimes slip into negative thinking too & I suspect it is part of how I got to be so very heavy in the first place! Checking the mirror is a good place to start, but then that is not familiar either......!0
