My baby's first birthday cake!

Hi all,
I just finished making my baby's birthday cake (she turns 1 on Tuesday, but is having a party tomorrow - or rather today as it has just ticked over past midnight). My family is all asleep so I have no one to show it to.
It is a chocolate mud cake filled and iced with dark chocolate ganache then covered with rolled fondant icing.
Just in case it isn't obvious - it is supposed to be Little Miss Sunshine (from the Mr Men books). My baby is the happiest little girl and is truly a ray of sunshine herself.

Nice work - it looks beautiful and happy birthday to your little one! I also bake and decorate cakes...fortunately I don't eat much cake otherwise it would be disastrous for my diet!

Wow! That is beautiful cake. There are many bakeries that would not have done half so good a job with it. I hope your daughter has a wonderful birthday :)

That is beautiful! I hope you do that professionally; if you don't, you should! Congratulations on your baby girl's first birthday too. We recently celebrated our granddaughter's first birthday. That child makes my heart sing!!! Children are such a blessing.

Thanks!! I am really pleased with how it turned out - I did change plans a little as I'm not that great at covering ball shapes with fondant, so all the leaves around her are covering up the gathers of fondant that I couldn't seem to get rid of.
I don't do it professionally, but would love to one day (at the moment I'm a high school English teacher - so it would be a bit of a sea change!!).
My 3 1/2 year old was amazed when she saw it this morning, and my baby shouted and clapped her hands - so I can't ask for a better response than that.
