Hello everyone,
I've been doing the Atkins induction a little over 2 weeks
I had a couple of days where I went to 30 net carbs instead of 20, but overall, I sticked to it
I also had 3 days where I went overboard with the calories because of the salad dressing
But I have not touched any sugar, bread, pasta, potatoes, chips, chocolate or any of those food....and still, I'm an not losing at all
Which is weird, because I am still under the amount of calories I usually burn during the day (around 1800 to 2000/ day- thank you Fitbit)
I'm getting very frustrated
What the hell I am doing wrong?
I don't have a huge amount of weight to lose, only 20 pounds, but I just am not getting any results
I did a blood test a few months ago, no issue with my thyroid, nothing wrong with me
I'm a bit baffled
Help?

It's hard to tell what's going on since your diary is private. But usually the first questions that get asked are a) are you sure you're eating enought calories and b) is it your time of the month? If you are netting under your BMR, then your body panics and you can't lose weight. If it's time of the month, then you may just have temporary weight gain due to water retention. Also, if you eat a lot of high-sodium meals, which is quite possible with Atkins, you may be retaining water.0

I'm eating around 1600 calories a day
Which is more than if I do just calories counting without watching my net carbs amount
In that case I'm supposed to eat 1400...and I've been eating more than that
What I'm wondering, is if that if I stick to low carb, will I eventually lose weight?
Or should I just count my calories and not worry about the carb intake?0 -

Thanks for your links
I like the 3rd one, it speaks to me
I think I should just make sure i stay low carb for a while and ditch the scale
If I stop the anxiety of not seeing my weight go down, it might help me
I just really hope that my body will eventually "get it" and let go of the unwanted pounds0
