I just started using Fitness pal. My Doctor told me to enter 70% fat 20% protein and 10% carb, I don't feel comfortable with that, I guess it'[s basically low carb and high protein and fat. Does anyone use what is provided by Fitness pal itself? Looks like it'spretty high in carbs but 1200 cal a day.

I went in a changed my goals because I thought mfp was way off.
1200 calories. 50g fat. 120 carbs. 27 sugar. 100 protein
I have found that fat grams effect weight the most. but everyone is different.0 -
1200 calories a day might be too low. I suggest you find out your BMR and set your goal to that. I have absolutely no reason or desire to go "low carb"- at all. However, if that is what your doctor suggests and you truly believe that is the best route- then go for it. I have my ratios set to 40% carbs, 30% protein, 30% fat.
Although, if your doctor is suggesting you eat 1200 calories, and 70% fat I might be a little concerned. Just my thoughts on that.
Best of luck to you!0
