Seeing really healthy changes in myself
Not being defeated by Fibromyalgia
Accomplishing what I thought formerly was impossible
Buying clothes in sizes I haven't seen since high school
Motivating others
Becoming the best version of myself0 -
-Memory of thee most beautiful woman, I knew...
or trying to keep myself busy so I don't think about her, too much.
-My two year old nephew
-Not being affected by the same conditions my dad is in (Diabetes, High blood pressure, high cholesterol... list goes on... )0 -
The fact that most of my family is relatively skinny/fit and I was not for a very long time
Never wanting to go back to where I was three months ago (I was uncomfortable in my own skin and did not like being in pictures)
Fitting into smaller clothing sizes and having more options when I go shopping
One day having the courage to go shirtless and be confident
All of my MFP friends inspire me to strive for a healthier lifestyle and reach my fitness goals0 -
My family is also very thin; my mom lost 70 lbs and my siblings are naturally thin. Now, my husband is average sized, but he just left for BMT and will probably lose a good chunk of weight, leaving me feeling huge and out of shape. I want to be able to keep up with him and not feel self conscious on whatever base we end up at. Plus it will feel good to find clothes that fit and not clothes to just hide my problem areas.0

The Bring it On movies and Real Housewive of Orange County. I don't know why, but they make me want to work out.0

My sister, Asara. I see the changes she has made and realized I can do it too. In the first week I started feeling better than I had all year. I am hoping to regain my life and be able to return to work with my illnesses in check. I used my illnesses as an excuse but now it is a reason.0

Myself , I do not need to draw inspiration from other people ; only myself can have serious impact on what I choose to do and how I stay motivated.0

The fact that every time I see a thin girl in a cute outfit, I know that it would look terrible on me.....also, when my future hubby and I have kids, I want to have an actual baby belly not hidden by fat!0

Seeing how happy my husband is with his weight loss, I want that feeling too0

A mix of myself, my dad, and my team.
My dad is overweight and has a lot of health problems... I don't want to be in the same boat. He's had surgery on his knees, stomach, both ankles, and earlier this year he had to get a bone taken out of his spine because it was pressing on his spinal cord. Right now he has severe stomach problems and anything that is not like plain bread or noodles, he can't keep down. It really sucks for my dad because he loves cooking and eating (and he's amazing at both...) but now he has to sit and watch us eat good food while he's stuck with plain bread (and on some days... nothing).
My team because I want to get fit for them. We're going to the Junior Olympics this year (I think.. Qualifiers was this weekend but I missed it because of a test). I refuse to be the weakest link. I want to be better, faster, stronger so I get better and so we can dominate in the pool.
Myself: I hate being the weak overweight slow kid. I want to be fit, fast, and strong.0 -
My grandma and all her siblings had diabetes. She died in 2010 after her 2nd heart attack cause her heart wasn't getting enough oxygen because of complications from the diabetes. My gynecologist was worried about my weight and he told me if I don't have motivation make my future child my motivation. My husband pushes me to exercise when I don't feel like it0
