But it never ends! This is the only thing I can honestly say that drives me insane! The never ever ending food prep. I need to hit the lottery and get a chef!! lol

Not really, I enjoy it most of the time! I find that when you prep ahead of time, it helps take off the stress of having to do it in a timely manner on the spot! You could even prep 3 to 4 days ahead just to get a jump start on your week! It really works wonders :-)

Some days I love it. Some days it makes me want to punch someone in the throat.

i think it's so much fun! except for when i'm really hungry, in which case i won't make something that involves a lot of food prep...
it's mostly the cleanup that gets me.

That's one of the reasons I crockpot a lot. i do about two meals a week in the crock pot.

Because all I have to do is turn it on in the morning, throw a couple of things into it and then forget it.

It alleviates the "food prep" stress that I have.

I almost always cook enough to have leftovers the next day, so when I think of it as TWO days of food prep, it's not so bad!

I am the world's laziest cook! I hate the prep and hate the cooking lol. I guess i'm a really bad wife! I buy things already prepped eg vegetables and salads etc and just throw them on the plate.

I really should start being more adventurous.....but i can't be bothered haha

I do food prep maybe twice a week. Unless you count thawing chicken and whipping a couple of eggs. I make a big pan of roasted veggies that lasts most of the week. Bake a big pan of chicken that will take me through the next 4 meals. I'm pretty lazy...nothing too involved. And if you are doing chicken breasts...six breasts on a cookie sheet for 25 minutrs gets you through the week. That's a lot of chicken.
  • I actually love it. Before I started my health change, I was constantly looking for new things to cook like General tao chicken, spring rolls, chilli, and MUCH more. Now I just cook healthier things, but I still love it :)

I don't have a problem. I have to cook for hubby and kids and I eat the same as they eat, I just check the size of my portions. That's the only difference. I'm not sure what you mean by all the food prep.

i dont see the problem, i have veg or/and salad every day but it takes mins to prep. i also do the slow cooker, throw loads of fresh veg in with stock cubes and it lasts about 3 days.

sometimes i just don't want to plan ahead.. just go with the flow but unfortunately there are not always healthy choices. so if i dont plan ahead i will not be as successful as i would have been.. so i plan ahead

Food processor+ crockpot= best investments ever. I work 40-60 hour weeks, night shifts. I don't have time to mess around.

Well, i have to make dinner and lunch every day. It gets overwhelming for me. I don;t have big enough pans/cooking dishes to do more than a meal a day! I never used to cook a whole lot so, before my lifestyle change I never had a problem with smaller cooking dishes.. NOW.. I need to invest in some new ( larger) pans/cooking dishes so I can cook my lunches a few days in advance instead of once a day. It literally, is driving me insane. I feel like I don;t have enough time in the day to cook two meals every day, then clean dishes twice a day, work, work out, and get enough sleep. It's ( sometimes) so time consuming.. Some days it doesn't bug me.. today, I just want to scream!
