I just finished my first week of insanity and I love it! I tried 30DS but I thought it was pretty boring and not very challenging for me.

Insanity is top notch for cardio and will get you leaned out in no time! Even if you have to stop and take breaks you still get a killer workout

    P90X rules - here's why:
    1) Incorporates strength (weights) along with cardio, core and interval
    2) There is the P90X "plus" module available that allows you to add a 3rd round after you plateau
    3) P90X plus incorporate peak interval + strength (like insanity)
    4) Tony Horton is a machine and a great instructor

Insanity looks pretty intense but I will not be bothering with it - here's why
    1) No strength/muscle growth training (weights)
    2) I have at least 3 friends (in pretty good shape) who have suffered impact injuries on their knees and ankles from insanity - no thanks!

    Here's my take:

Insanity: LOVE IT!! The cardio is intense and you end up drenched in sweat! Shaun T is a brilliant instructor and you feel very accomplished once your done. It has helped me develop into a runner as well (a BIG deal for someone who could never run more than 200 meters!). It builds some strength using your own body weight but if strength is your main goal, I'd probably use this as your 'cardio' day.

P90X: I'm currently in phase 3 and will finish at the end of this month. Fantastic for building strengthalthough after insanity, I find the cardio workouts a little lacking. However, if strength is your goal, this will support it more than insanity.

Either way, make sure you're choosing a workout that is safe for you to do!

    Hope it helps :flowerforyou:
