So I bought some dry beans....now I'm trying to figure out what the hell I'm going to do with them. I bought kidney beans and pinto beans. Suggestions anyone?

I like to boil pinto beans with a slice of bacon, chili powder and some minced garlic. I use about half a bag and boil covered for about 6 hours. They are so good. I don't think you need the bacon but it tastes so much better. I haven't made beans since I started dieting so I haven't thought about an alternative. You will need salt and pepper, but wait until they are being served to add that.0
