Weekends are my biggest weakness also my Weigh in day too

today i'm 155
Now I have to get through this weekend and i'm going to need support!
me and my husband loves to eat take out and drink wine so i'm in trouble!!
Good luck everyone be safe this weekend
thanks0 -
Rachelfrear - If you get chinese take out - go for the Moo Goo Gai Pan and skip the rice. It has a lot of veggies and a light sauce (280 calories/serving). I love wine too and we just recently stopped drinking it during the week to try and curb calories. Makes it more fun to have on the weekends. But it took about 3 weeks for me to stop missing it during the week. :drinker:
And you live in NC, right? I grew up there - southern cooking is a killer. I gain 5 lbs just thinking about grits and biscuits.
Have a great weekend!0 -
I know. THANKS...this is DEFINITELY the message I needed. I'm taking my boo (boyfriend) to the Raiders vs. Texans game on Sunday...I'm go to make sure I snack on healthy foods and try and eat before we leave home. However, I'm goin out Saturday night for my cousin's 30th birthday, so I know I will be drinking. When I drink...I get REALLY hungry...so I gotta watch it. I will try not to have too much to drink.

Just remember Najah5150, if you drink a glass of water between any alcoholic drink, 1) you ward off dehydration which is the biggest reason for hangovers and 2) you will feel fuller, helping you stave off food cravings and slow the intake of alcohol which mean fewer calories!
Have fun at the game!0 -

Naj,
A month or so ago I was going to a Colorado Rockies game. Before I went I checked out their web site to see what food options I'd have. I found a few concessions that sold a grilled chicken sandwich and despite it being $1 hot dog night I stuck with what I'd planned to get. I have to say, those hot dogs were calling my name but since I'd told everyone I was with that I was going for the grilled chicken, I did. Might help to see what options you will have and make a decision before you go.
Have a GREAT time at the game! I lived in Los Angeles for quite a few years, it's been a really long time since I've been to a Raider's game (or any professional football game for that matter!)
And, at the party, make sure you do lot's of physical activity while you are there. Not sure what type of party it is but lots of dancing will help with any extra calories you might decide to consume...

Now just because it is the weekend does not mean that we are going to lose our collective minds. Well, OK maybe we will BUT IN A GOOD WAY!
Remember we are getting fit and healthy because we want to have FUN in life.
Remember everything in moderation.
I like my wine too. So instead of not drinking it, I drink a glass or two of water with it, AND I stick with one glass. :drinker:
Burn more than you take in. Take a walk in the park, Go out dancing with friends, walk around a mall, chase the kids around the house, have a pillow fight, Take that path at the park you always wondered where it lead to. Run up a hill and roll down till you are dizzy with leaves stuck in your hair, Follow a 2 year old around and do exactly what they do, until you are out of breath. Have a good old fashion giggle fit. LAUGH, LIVE, LOVE, AND ENJOY!!!

Weekends are a piece of cake (low cal of coarse) I am so much more active on the weekends allowing me to eat more isn't that fantastic. Go out there do something energetic and fun.0

:blushing: Thank you Den Mother.
I HAVE tried to follow a 2 year old around before. It is interesting how many times they touch their toes. Climb up hills, run at full speed. And they want to play ring around the rosey A LOT! I wonder how many cals it burns skipping around in a cirlce, dropping to the floor and getting back up, and repeating the process, again, and again, and again, and again.
I like my hill idea the best, I might be 25 years old with 17 years of experiance, But you know what? I think I am going to go roll down a hill tonight! Weeeeeeeeeeeeee
You all have a wondermuss weekend.
