Is anyone on any kind of depression or anxiety meds. Im wondering how they affect your weigh loss. I am on celexa and tripidylone (sp?). I have searched these and they say they don't make you gain weight but I know for reading other peoples comments on other websites that alot of people are saying they do. So Im asking anyone out there. What do you think? Have you had problems getting the weight off taking medicines like these?

    I have been on many depression meds in my life. I am now on Effexor ER and I can lose weight if I put my mind to it. My problem isn't the weight gain from the meds it's my emotional eating. I think you should do fine losing weight with the meds. But if you're not sure ask your doctor. Good luck!
