Running and foot problems?

Options
I have been running (A lot lately). It seems like its one of the only things that helps me burn fat off my body and I know its effective because my body has shrunk. I run about 30-an hour a day, I also do 10-15min on the stairclimber, eliptical, or treadclimber after lifting weights. Lately whenever I run past 30min I feel like the veins at the front of my foot are being pricked by needles(I am referring to the area on your foot right before you get to the toes.)
1.)Is running that much healthy?
2.) Should I see a doc about the foot problem?
3.) Could it be that I need new shoes?

I get the same problem but i have fybromyalgia & the doc says mine could be down to that
but recently I saw a podiatrist and he says it is the posture of my feet and my calfs have become very rigid and so i am havin some insteps made to get my posture corrected so i would see a doctor just to reassure urself
its very painful i find mine is the same kind of stinging pain as when i once belly flopped into a pool

There's nothing wrong with running that much. Plenty of people run dozens of miles a week. It sounds like your running form needs a change...many people run on the balls of their feet or don't pick them up far enough for proper form. You should be running heel-toe and making sure that you're not plodding with a flat foot either. New shoes might help as well, but I'm not sure what type you have so I can't give you much advice on that.

I went through hell with my foot for 4 years going to 5 doctors, specialists before I found
out that I had an arthritic spur embedded in a nerve in the top of my foot. The pain was
awful with any weight bearing at all, literally walking around doing housework. I had
surgery to have the bone, spur, etc sawed off. The recovery was a bit unpleasant and I
am six months into it. So far as long as I don't do anything on my feet, stand, etc. it is some
better. I was told recovery took a year (after the surgery by the doctor who made a ton off
the surgery). At this point I have been doing 32 minutes on a stationary exercise bike and
my feet kill me, even though it is not considered weight bearing. Initially it was crazy as even
if you look on line most people don't complain of pain on the top of their foot but believe me
it is awful, you have my sympathy. Try to find out what it is before it gets worse, maybe
you will have better luck than I did.

    Good luck,

    Terri

if runnin is causing pain, then its a problem that needs checkin out
if u get the ok from the doctor then u wont need to worry any longer

like many people I cant run because of my feet and joints so i use a tony little gazelle glider because its not weight bearing and also and exercise bike when my back is ok and so i dont upset my joints
theres always ways round these things....

go get checked because its not worth makin an injury worse and then needin surgery especially when u want to lose weight.....
