Brand New and EXCITED!

I got a good tax refund this year. I bought an iPod Touch. While browsing the free apps, i found My Fitness Pal... Best decision I ever made!
I'm 23, 5'4, and started at 192 lbs (now 182 lbs after one month!). While I am fortunate enough to have excess body fat in mostly the right places, I still am 5'4 and weigh this much. Gross.
So I started following this program religiously, I think now I won't even eat something if I can't tell how many calories it has! Before I did zero exorcise, now I exercise almost every day. I started going to Zumba classes twice a week at a local Spanish community centre, bought the Playstation Move stuff and a dancing game, and it's not even like working out! Some days I go over my 1260 calories, like a few weeks ago we had a BBQ for my birthday, or one day it was extremely too hot and I could barely move. But still now I'm down about 10 lbs (I had to guess my weight at first, then I bought scales and I was heavier than I thought, so MFP is telling me different, but I know!!)
Already I feel much better physically, and if there's a day that i don't exercise I feel really lazy and gross. I can actually notice a difference in my ARMS which is strange but my Zumba class does a lot of arm stuff so I guess that's why.
Anyway, today is my first day on this actual website and I'm hoping the message boards will help to inspire me. Also if anyone knows any low-cal delicious meals, feel free to send them my way!
Good luck!!!

Me too! And congrats on your month long commitment. Ten lbs is terrific! A neighbor just invited me to a Zumba class she attends. I can't wait to try it out, but I'm worried I'll look like an uncoordinated fool! We're about the same height and weight and goal. Best of luck to you.0
