Finals Weight Gain?

Do any other students find that when finals come around,
it becomes more difficult to fit in exercise when your entire life is really just studying, school and sleeping for a month or so?
My friends complain that finals causes them to gain weight, and I refuse to let that happen, but with all of my studying and assignments and such, I do find it quite difficult to fit in workout time.
Any suggestions, stories, comments, etc?

no stress eating. take a few study breaks that involves being active. when i was in college i used a hula hoop to help me stay sane. i'd take a break and hula hoop or take a break with friends and get into a quick 10 minute snowball fight
good luck on your final!0 -
honestly from personal experience, just finished my junior year last month. I try to take it as my week off or i dont get to paranoid about exercise and eating healthy. I know this sounds horrible but your grades arent worth it. but this is what you can do
For example finals week, if you have an evening exam, and you normally wake up at 9am, wake up at 7 or 8 and go for a run. That way you are showered and ready to study by 9am. Otherwise do whatever you can, but personally i would worry more about just staying full/ a good meal and doing well on your exams.
GOOD LUCK ON YOUR FINALS0 -
I'm a nursing student (wife and mom too LOL) and I've found that no matter what I just NEED to get 30 min in a couple days a week. I need the break from studying and my body needs the workout as much as my mind needs the rest.0

Damn, I lost weight during finals. Then again, I was spending at least 36hrs in the lab straight with three to five other people studying for these *****es, so it's not like we ate much. And even when we did have food, we'd forget to eat it because we were working out how to solve these really intense math problems. Oh the joys of advanced meteorology.
Good luck on your finals, tho. I suggest lots and lots of water. Yeah, you'll probably have to pee a lot, but it's important to stay hydrated. And packing your breakfast/lunch/dinner/snacks. Keeps you away from the cafeteria and vending machines. Activity? Laughter burns quite a few calories. If it wasn't for the two hour giggle fit we erupted into on the first night of studying for our final, I don't think any of us would have gotten any exercise. Then again, we're also a pretty wild and crazy bunch that tries to race down hallways in our socks... Don't do it. The rug burn is NOT worth it.0 -
I have the same problem every time. It's stressful, but grades are super important to me so I consider it a short term compromise.0
