TO ALL YOU WONDERFUL MFPz-
MY VENT WAS MISUNDERSTOOD... I REALLY UPSET SOME OF YOU ON HERE. I APOLOGIZE....I NEVER CALLED ANYONE OUT SPECIFICALLY...
I did not mean to make so many enemies in trying to stick up (indirectly) for so many people.... eeek!?! not my intention. I have a small group of friends because I like to support all of them as much as possible and too many seems unfair if that is what they need. Although, I have realized some folks are on here for different reasons. No, wrong or right. Obviously, everyone needs different ways to reach their goals. Which, I am still glad that I posted the past topic because some of the negativity opened my eyes to other points of view. (weird how some negativity can be enlightening) I have unfortunately, seen some pretty sad stories and some flat out mean people. Like the rest of the world, huh?
Anyway, I am apologizing for my behavior, which in return, caused a domino affect of other negative stuff.... ouch! Sorry to raise your blood pressures so much... I never expected the topic to be read or even commented on... it was a vent that spoke too loudly... my next post shall be more pleasurable...

PLEASE DON'T JUDGE ME -
"Ciao Bella" (no specific person :) )

I think it just never occurred to you that maybe "that person" never requested 500 friends...but received hundreds of friends requests after posting their "weight loss success story" And although my intention when I first joined MFP was to have a small friends list to keep it more personal...when I received hundreds of genuine, heartfelt friend requests I didn't turn them down but accepted them so we can lose this weight TOGETHER.

I stand by my comment.."its not a popularity contest, its a weight loss journey". I don't believe in just "collecting friends" and my intentions when I accept the requests is that I want to help them however I can. Is it hard to keep up with over 500 people , yes...but I try my best.My reason for that comment yesterday was that I was running into people on this site with the WRONG Intentions; selling products, promoting sites, etc. And I was just letting my friends know...I will not do that to them. And I am friends with them because I really want to be on this journey WITH them.

*A private message would've been a better approach then a public rant.

^^^^ has been one of my friends for months.... since I joined mfp, in fact.... and she's been amazing. If this is truly who you were talking about, REMOVE FRIEND was the button you should've pushed. You don't have to like everyone, but don't rant on a public forum about someone who has done nothing but encourage people. Maybe you're annoyed with her success and positive outlook? I'm not one to say, but regardless, not the place. Just delete her if that's the issue. Uncool.

    Negativity breeds negativity....

As long as someone is polite, enthusiastic, and supportive, what does it really matter if they have 5 or 500 friends? Id much rather be friends with someone who is all of the above and has a big amount of friends that someone who only has a few and is down right plain negative and rude. If this type of person vexes you so much there is allways the delete button xx

I have many friends on here because of my success but I still find time to motivate everyone. some people have it for attention and some really do want to help :)
