food before early morning workout?

I go to gym at six in the morning. I have hypothyroid (slow) so I take my pill then on the way I eat a string cheese. But I am not loving the fat grams. What do you eat before a workout? When I get home I eat breakfast. Then go to work. I just need some new ideas. Things that are not high in calories.

    I eat a protein bar- "Kind Bar" - just before I work out and it keeps me energized and is an easy grab and go food. At 200 calories it's not a bad morning meal and I find that it keeps me going foe even and hour or two post work-out.

    I have oatbran topped with yogurt - put in fridge overnight and it goes lovely and creamy.

    I use Welch's Reduced Sugar Strawberry Spread -it's like a preserves or jam!! 1 tbsp is only 20 calories!! Yummy, you can also put a little PB, but it will jump up the cals and fat count. If you look in my food diary you will see I eat one almost every day!:love: -"PB & J Rice Cake" hehehe

    I can't work out on an empty stomach so I usually eat a banana or a cereal bar on the way to the gym. Every now and then I will have a protein shake depending on what my other meals for the day are going to look like.
