A friend of mine gave me an amazing advice: Instead of beating yourself up over a bad day (Bad day for me = going over calories by 2,000), use that energy to plan better in future and/or go outside and burn off some of those calories

    Get over it, sweetie.
I would eat ice cream every single night less than an hour before I went to bed for a month straight. I still lost 7 pounds like every other month when I didn't.
1 messup isn't going to destroy all that you've done so far.

do 20 burpees afterwards. It will help burn some of the cals off ... and ... they suck so much that you won't want to eat that piece of bread again.

It doesn't matter what time of day you eat. If you stay under your calories, you will still lose weight. FACT!

It's OK. You ate it, now just keep going. It doesn't have to derail you, you can do this.

It's calories in a day, not before 9pm, doesn't matter what time you ate them. Go take a brisk walk, burn off some of the guilt.

there's nothing to feel guilty about. even if you went over on calories a little, it's just one piece of bread. and there's no reason you can't eat an hour before bed. your body will still digest it in your sleep.
  • You burn calories while you're sleeping. I dont see why people think they dont?

A lifetime of hearing bad advice, I'd say.

"Stop eating after 7pm" is great advice for those who don't count calories, or those who tend to go over their goal because of late-night snacking. But people take it and make it into a commandment that everyone must follow.
