Well, I have not been starving myself for sure... but I often eat WAY too much sugar, or carbs. I would like to simply eat my TDEE cut, but I have I hard time sticking to it.
Thank you so much for your reply!0

fwiw, 1500 is not "VERY generous". What is your BMR?Sometimes I go over my calorie goal, which is VERY generous (1500) and then exercise until I net below it. So If my goal is 1500 and I eat 1900 then run off 500 calories (and lift weights- which raises metabolism I think) I am no worse off?0

That's why I was asking! Her's is barely over 1500.
You've gotten great advice here and it truly is about finding what works best for you. Anything that keeps you on the road to your best health is exactly what you should do. If that's a cut from TDEE, great. If you're too hungry maybe slowing weight loss down a bit and eating at a smaller cut is best. I know that's a hard one to do. I wish there was a right way, THE way, but there isn't. Lord knows I would have found it by now! As long as you don't net below your BMR you'll be fine. If you need to adjust, make changes up or down by 10% until you're happy. I wish you the best!0

Ha ha - me too!I have no clue. I just eat until the number on MFP turns red with a minus sign. Then I know I'm supposed to stop eating.
Too many abbreviations for what should be more simple 0 0

Yeah, I saw that. Her BMR is around 1500, she should be eating more than 1500 for sure.
