As I sit here and enjoy a nice bowl of green, I'm inspired to seek out other fitness obsessed pals that like to indulge in some herbal remedies. Personally I find the green compliments my diet perfectly: I don't feel left out when all my friends are drinking (drinking is a no-no for me, I'd rather eat my calories and pot has 0), I can control my munchies for the most part (sometimes it even helps me meet my calorie goals for the day), and it also relieves pain after a tough workout.

I can't be the only hippie college kid around here. What say you guys?

I am a TOTAL pothead.....it not only helps control my OCD, but is MUCH easier on a diabetic than alcohol, which I have not had in over a decade.....

One thing I find, is that I have to decide what I am going to eat and get it ready, BEFORE I smoke, or my plan changes from peaches to chocolate bars right fast, LOL

I just find after a super long day of work and teenagers, it helps me unwind and not be so grumpy......

Bahahahahaha on the munchies planning. I naturally gravitate towards good munchies, but sometimes I'm literally amazed at the quantities that I can consume. I have become a bottomless pit right before bed and woken up way too full too many times.

Man, this just indicates that more of you guys need to branch out and smoke some pot. It's really all it is cracked up to be.

I don't even get the munchies. So its a win-win for me. Its my favorite post-workout snack. (after a real food snack, of course) No, I totally feel you, although I have been tempted to try and cook with it instead of smoking it, or using a vaporizer because I want better cardiovascular health, but meh. Its my only vice, really. And its zero calories :-D

You know, I really only get the munchies if it is time to eat anyway.....

In fact, sometimes I use it to hold off hunger if I am busy.......I find when you use it on a regular basis, the munchies do not happen as often, I have to be hungry before I smoke to get them....however, like I said before, I also have to know what I am eating beforehand, so I make good choices.....

Gosh, I hate to be the "old" person here, but someday you are going to be looking for a job and they're going to do a Google search for your name and find stuff like this. That said I am neither confirming or denying that I can or could relate to what you are talking about when I was your age.

I'll concede that healthier is a judgement value on my part, but less dangerous is true. Alcohol is toxic. No one overdoses on marijuana.

Just because it is natural, doesn't mean you should smoke it.

My dad is the posterchild for why you don't do pot. But do as you please, you can live on less brain cells.

And I will concede that there is probably a whole more road deaths/injuries from alcohol.
Healthier is another question though - I've read too much about the links between pot and mental illness to be convinced that it's healthy.

My name isn't anywhere on my profile or this site. Plus I have way more privacy concerns about Facebook. This isn't going to come up when I'm googled.

    Truth.

Vaporizers are really awesome. My experiences cooking with it have been so-so. I've smoked out of a friend's vape (it filled up these bags) and it was really nice. I have a feeling you won't regret it if you ever decide to get one.

There are more links at the bottom of the third link I have posted. Definitely check out the last one. Alcohol would be safer than cigarette smoking right? Smoking pot is just as bad as cigarettes.

Smoking pot is hardly a "healthy" activity. Also, forum posts about illegal activities, including drug usage, is against forum rules.

So you never mention this kind of stuff on facebook then? Just be careful, ok :)

I'm pretty sure people who develop some sort of mental illness after smoking pot, are not JUST smoking pot...They are doing other things as well, or they had problems to begin with. I don't understand why its socially acceptable to drink, and yet smoking pot is still so taboo

    Dear Posters,

I wanted to offer a brief explanation for the locking of this thread.

The forum guidelines include this item:
    15. Divisive Topics Are Better Suited For Groups, Not the Main Forums

Divisive topics, particularly those that seek input from or are relevant only to a select group of users, are better placed within an appropriate Group rather than the Main Forums. For example, topics relevant to only one religion should not be placed on the main forums but rather within a group related to that religion. We reserve the right to move any topic to a relevant public Group which interested members may join if they wish to continue to participate.
