I started on here about 3 weeks ago. What's hard for me sometimes is I get very discouraged because alot of people on here are starting out at a weight that is lower than my goal weight. I was always the fat kid in class when I was younger. Went to college and started working out alot, and lost quite a bit of weight, my junior year in college I got a part time job (less time to work out) and then my senior year I starting dating my now boyfriend of 2 and 1/2 years
Since then I have put on 50 pounds and I am embarrassed to go out in public, I hate having to go anywhere anymore, I feel like every one looks an me and talks about how big I am. I am trying to do something about it, but it's not easy. I am trying to stay motivated but like I said in the beginning sometimes i get discouraged by other people.

Everyone here is here for the same reason.......to get and give support. Just the fact that you've joined is something to be proud of and the fact that you have already started to see a change in your weight.
YOU CAN DO THIS! On the days where you feel down or discouraged lean on your MFP friends for support and backup and before you know it you'll look back on this post and feel proud of how far you've come because as your body changes hopefully so will your outlook.
Good luck and I'm here if you need me

I know it's hard - for all of us trying to lose weight but don't get discouraged. And pay no attention to the fact that some people on this site are starting out at a lower weight than your goal weight. We all start out at different weights and have different weight goals. The common goal is to get to where we want to be. I'm trying to 30 pounds, my best friend 70 pounds to hike the Inca Trail, my other friend wants to lose 10 pounds for a special event. So we all have the same goal in the end - to lose weight whatever the number may be.
I gained 45 pounds in about 10 years and have been struggling to lose a pound. I've tried at least four different diet programs and lost a bit but gained it all back, plus more. With MFP I've lost almost 7 pounds but it took a few months. Better a few than nothing so just keep focused and carry on! I want to see the ticker on your weight loss goal moving, Girl! One pound at a time.
And you know what? No one is looking at you and talking about how big you are. We create those situations and images in our own heads. We're all in this together - Let's do it!0
