Woman Overboard!

That's what I feel like.....
For a while I was on this wonderful ship! Where aboard I regularly practiced healthy eating and good exercise habits. I was doing pretty well, feeling motivated and very supported here at MFP. I have great friends and have always loved reading the boards for ideas, motivation and fun. Then, one day for some strange reason, I jumped off. No, I didn't fall and I wasn't pushed. I just jumped off....can't figure out why....
So here I am, struggling in the icy cold water of glutton and laziness. Eating horribly and not working out like I know I need to. I'm trying though, finally, to get back on board. I miss my friends, I miss feeling good that I've accomplished something. I miss having the energy that only eating right and exercise can give me. And yes, of course I miss watching the scale go down and buying smaller clothes!!
So I'm hoping that someone will feel sympathetic enough towards me to help and throw me a life preserver.....a little more help with motivation. I do want to thank my MFP friends for NOT deleting me during my on again off again time here lately....I'm going to get back in the habit of signing on nightly so I can keep up with you and do my friendly duties and support you like I used to!
Thanks to everyone who took the time to read this, and I hope that maybe I can help to motivate someone else who is having trouble finding the motivation they need. I KNOW I am better off working at having a healthy lifestyle and I can definitely feel the difference. I also KNOW that just because I got off for a while, doesn't mean I can't get back on!

It can be done, I sure have rejoined the journey a couple of times!0

I am glad that I am not the only one feeling this way! I too, have not been eating as well as I should or working out like I should. I am hoping that I find my motivation soon and wish you the best of luck as well!
We can do this!0 -
Thanks for sharing and being honest. We have all been there weight loss is a process and a journey with many obstacles and hills. Just like the song, we fall down but we get up by Donnie McClurkin. Glad you got back up and started again! Much success this round!0

jumping overboard is probably more popular than any of us want to admit. i am thinking that as long as you didn't drown and just needed to swim around for awhile and 'take a break' its all good. the important thing is your back and ready to start. really, that is a huge step in and of itself, right?
welcome back, take hold of your friendships and make some new ones to cheer you on and help keep you aboard.
I am new to mfp. . . all of one week now and am so happy to be here. remember to just take one step at a time. don't run before you walk. just do one thing at a time and when you find good success....add another factor to what you are already doing.
lets all work together and help each other win!!0 -
i wish like crazy i knew how to add a video or picture to the message board but i don't. i do however, want to paste this address and share it with those of you who would like to listen to it. its called 'keep on walking' when you feel like giving up and being done, which we all have felt for whatever reason, this song somehow helps me to keep going on. maybe it will help you too.
