Protein question

My food journal is helping me to keep track of how much I am eating and I was curious about my protein amounts. I know I need to stay close or below with carbs, fat, and sodium will it affect me weight loss if I go over on protein. It shows up red when I go over like it's a bad thing. May be a dumb newbie question but I was curious so thought I would ask those who know more than me. Thanks

Unless you have a medical issue that you need to stay away from a lot of protiens you don't even have to track those. Protien is good for weight loss and will not hinder it for you at all

I chose to track it because I tend to have trouble getting enough. But now that I am making a conscious effort I tend to go over. Thanks for the info. That's what I thought but I wanted to make sure.

Protein is the key! My dietician wants me to hit 90g a day or more. Eventually I will be up to 1g per 1lb lean body mass.

The MFP default is 15% for protein which is rather low. I was always red too so just earlier today I changed it to 40% carbs 30% protein 30% fat so I won't see all those red numbers anymore.

I usually eat 120 to 140 g a day of protein. Like the others said, unless you have medical issues, don't worry about it.
