Eat something substantial for lunch tomorrow, and avoid the evening crisis.

I wouldn't set out to stuff my face at 8pm for any reason TBH.

So, you've eaten about 700 calories today? That is nowhere near enough to keep an adult person healthy.
If it is just one day, then don't worry too much about it, have one of your scones and go to bed, then eat more tomorrow.

If this is happening every day, then it would be worth spending some time planning your meals to get close to your goal - eating so little is not giving your body much energy to function on.
You might cope OK for a while, but long term it isn't going to do you any favours.

It's better to eat back most of your exercise calories. However, if you're not feeling hungry I wouldn't worry too much as long as you don't make a habit of doing this. I am sure you will feel very hungry in the morning...and you can have a big guilt-free breakfast!

When I find it's past 8pm, and I have an excess of calories to fill, I will have a protein shake with 2, maybe 3 scoops of powder, it's low carb, low fat, and about 450-600 calories depending on the powder you use, it's also protein so will fill you up and help your body recover from the exercise whilst you're asleep.

24 hour calories in, out is really all that matters...plenty of people just prefer eating less frequently and only when truly hungry. I personally just like getting in all my calories in a short time period each day. You might be interested in Intermittent Fasting (IF) if this is a regular eating pattern for you...but some people will simply calorie cycle one day to the next - going way high one day, then way low the next day having no appetite from eating way too much the previous day and vice versa (their Leptin is all messed up)

Your eating far to few calories to maintain a healthy body......If your body thinks it is not getting enough food, it will automatically go into starvation mode and you won't lose any weight at all.

I eat most of my calories at night as I work 7 p-7a. It depends on what time you are going to bed tonight. Typically you should stop eat approx 3 hours before bedtime. You don't have to eat your exercise cal and today was a good burn for you. Just make sure you are getting the recommended intake cal. Your weekly net cal should balance out.
