Oatmeal! Buy the Old fashioned oats, not quick oats. Cook 1/2 cup oats in 1 cup water for 3 minutes. Add 1/2 to 1 cup of mashed fruit (without any seeds in your case). Stir and eat! It's awesome, still a quick meal or snack and it keeps you full for hours.

I make whole wheat chapati (Indian bread)
    Fruits
    Fiber pills
I use extra veggies in my meals
sometimes i'll include fiber powder in my meat dish if I anticipate lack of high fiber foods in the day
lentil soup (I make and eat this alot)
Beans (did you know you can roast and then eat chick peas like you would with peanuts?)

I also sprinkle flax seeds in my oatmeal or over salad or in my morning smoothie for extra fiber and the good omega-3s. I like the hint of nutty taste.

Any green veggies, apples (with skin), quinoa, brown rice, bran, oatmeal... if you eat fresh fruits and veggies and whole grains, you should get enough fiber!

What everyone else said. Also, a family member of mine had diverticulitis, and her doc said it's a myth that the food (seeds, nuts, etc)has any correlation to the affliction. Just an fyi.

I enjoy a fiber plus bars, Raisin bran, frosted mini wheats, Cinnamon Cheerios, and Barilla Plus pastas. Really read your bread labels. Some multigrain breads have fiber but not all. Also increase slowly!

We have one with that disorder in our house. But they were not restricted from berries and such as long as they had enough fiber and stayed away from over processed 'stuff'!

Fruits, veggies, beans, greens, whole grains!

My husband has that as well. He can't eat popcorn (my favorite source of fiber)....Black beans (8g), kidney beans (7g) & quinoa(3g) are staples in our house.

They specifically said no strawberries, nuts, or corn. I was bummed. I love strawberries too. You would think that strawberry seeds are soo tiny it wouldn't make a difference but honestly I haven't even had a chance to really do any research on this condition yet. Definitely will do some reading up on it and just be super careful until everything heals.
