Calories during Insanity: HELP!

Hey everyone!
I'm almost to the end of my first part of Insanity. I love it so far, but I'm so confused about how many calories I should be consuming. I'm 5'7 and weigh somewhere between 145 and 150 right now. I started at 175 in April of 2011 and was at my lowest around Halloween of last year at 138. Right now I am eating just shy of 1500 calories/day while I'm doing Insanity. I should probably also add that I do a kettlebell class on Tuesdays and Fridays. Is 1500 a good amount to be eating while doing Insanity? My diary is open and my exercise calories are per my Polar HRM. Any advice is MUCH appreciated!!!!

How many calories are you eating, on average? Consider eating back what you burn... that should ensure that you're putting in enough fuel to keep your energy up for Insanity, without compromising your weight balance (assuming it's where you want it to be, of course)0

it depends on the intensity! if you are stopping a lot then i guess 1500 is good. but if most the time you are up and burning, then 1600-1700 is where you should be at! Insanity can even burn up to 800 calories on the really intense workouts! so make sure to eat a protein bar if you have no other way to fill your calories0

I'm eating on average 1500 calories per day and according to my HRM I burn anywhere between 400-460 calories per insanity workout.0

Like Fit said... I would probably ramp it up to 1700-1800 calories... even if you're burning an average of 500 cals per workout, it'll keep you away from 'starving' your body...
good luck with Insanity... it's killer... try not to hate Shaun T too much... he means well0 -
Bump.... Anyone else?0
