When you fall off... what do you do?

I've tried this once before, but I had some serious setbacks. Now I'm back with a clean slate and oodles of ambition.

The calculator says 81 lbs to lose before my goal. Here's how I'm planning on doing it:

1) Bought an elliptical (the only piece of equipment I ever used at the gym) and will use it 5 times a week.
2) Modified South Beach diet - Low carbs, focusing mainly on veggies and lean meats but with the addition of healthy fruits.
3) Trying the supplements... I know, I know, there's no magical pill. I've tried this all before, though, and something was holding me back. Even if this Slimquick stuff is placeboing me into thinness, I'm happy!

Wish me luck!

I intentionally fall off the wagon at least once every two weeks. It keeps me motivated to lose more when I know that I can still eat some chocolate or lamb curry every once in a while.

sounds like you have a good plan! The only thing i would change if it was me is i wouldnt do south beach. i eat fresh food. and cook healthy meals. i find buying those supposebly healthy meals are just as bad as anything else. but thats JMO =] but sounds like your on your way!!!
and to answer your question.. when i fall off.. i try to just start back like i never stopped =]

I think you've got South Beach misunderstood.

I don't buy pre-made meals. South Beach is just a healthier version of Atkins. You can make everything yourself at home, and there's no rigid meal plan. Just a low carb intake, and a focus on lean meats (no eating 2 lbs of bacon for breakfast on South Beach like there is on Atkins!) and veggies.

It's actually very healthy. I didn't even know you could buy pre-made meals for it!

I'm wayyyyy too cheap to buy premade stuff! LOL

My dad's all about the Atkins, because it lets him eat tons of greasy, fatty stuff. Problem is, once you stop, the bacon strikes back. What I like about South Beach is that it's maintainable once you start to introduce more fruits and whole grains into it.

Sounds like you have a great plan! Myself, however, am struggling. I am trying to lose the last of my "baby fat" (or, that's my excuse) and can't seem to stick to any eating plan. Sweets are my downfall- any suggestions?

When I fall off, I get back on. What's the alternative? Quit? No Way, came to far for that.
