I Need Help - Where Do I Start?

I am trying to recover from my E.D. ( It's going to be really, really hard ). I have no idea where to start. I'm already burning 500 calories a day ( besides today, was at work alllll day ). I have my thing set at 1200. But I only end up eating 500-700 calories, which makes my net really low, sometimes negative. Can someone help me figure this out? And where to start?

Edit: My BMR is about 1230, if that helps.

    While I have never personally dealt with anorexia, I have an eating disorder of my own. Over eating when I am depressed, lonely etc. The thing that works for me is planning out what I am going to eat because I know I NEED to eat that many calories and MAKE myself eat them. Choose highly nutritious foods so you don't feel guilty about eating them and perhaps consider counseling or a support group of some kind. Wish you all the best <3

    I would strongly suggest speaking to your doctor and getting a referral to a specialist that can help you successfully recover. You need guidance, a comprehensive eating plan, and maybe some therapy to discuss what lead you to an ED in the first place. Participation in a weight loss website without having those things set in place could become problematic.

    I been trying to be healthy and notice 1200 is ALOt for me that I am not used to. I been trying to snack on fruit more but I think i need to start doing more protien since he helps with engery and has more cals.

    Hi, I've recovered and know increasing cals can be scary. BUT, it CAN be done. My suggestion is to add a little at a time, so not to jolt your body or mind too much. Maybe add a protein shake or something daily and see how that goes. I wish you the very best of luck. I know how hard gaining can be, both physically to gain and mentally to think of putting on weight. I wish you the best of luck!

    My biggest problem also is I do NOT eat enough. My calorie goal is set at 1500 but I have a hard time meeting 1000. It's easier for me not to eat than it is for me to eat. I am overweight but its bc my body thinks its starving. Just try to think to work out, your muscles need protein and nutrients and in order for you to become a healthier you, you need to eat and don't be afraid to have a cookie but not the whole box...Kind of thing. I know its hard I'm on day 3, but if I can do it so can you. But you are at a fantastic weight now.

    MFP is great for keeping track, but ultimately, I think a nutritionist would provide you with the best long-term solution while recovering from an eating disorder. You'd be able to figure out the healthiest foods for your body and plan for appropriate progress that will benefit your physical and mental health. Perhaps multiple small meals during the day would be a good place to start, so you don't feel like you're overloading yourself at any one time?

    Looking at your food diary, from a place of total support, I will say that the fast food may be problematic. If you want your body to be healthy and stay healthy, it needs to be fueled with healthy food (fruits, veggies, low-fat diary, lean proteins, the "good" fats like in salmon, eggs and avocados, etc.). They will help you feel energetic and add to total body health, whereas the Arby's, McDonald's, Taco Bell, etc. will begin to make you feel sluggish over time - and will almost certainly make weight gain occur more rapidly.

    Noting that you're trying to get back to a healthy place, I was curious about your weight goal - maintain, or even gain? - and saw that you're trying to lose...with an ultimate goal weight of 95-100 pounds? Even for someone with a small frame, that seems a little on the low end.
