New Idea for tasty Greek Yogurt! And other stuff...

MIO liquid water enhancer. It's my new favorite thing, and I use it in my water all the time.
If you haven't heard of it or tried it, it's this little squeeze bottle of concentrated flavors that you can add to water for flavor. Today I squeezed some into my unflavored plain yogurt, and it was TASTY! It's really strong, so whenever you use it on anything add little by little until you have reached your preferred taste.
Each of MiO's nine flavors is:
Calorie-free per 8 fluid ounce serving
Carbohydrate-free and considered a free exchange
Sugar-free
Free of artificial flavors
Kosher
Gluten-free
Cruciverbalistic
Tasty
Good-looking
I really wanted to add Greek Yogurt to my diet, because of the following benefits.
-Lots of Protein! 1 cup of Chobani Plain Greek Yogurt has 23g of PROTEIN!
- About 50% LESS sodium than regular yogurt.
- 6-9g LESS Carbs than regular yogurt.
- And has healthy Probiotics, which is always good.
BUT...
- I personally don't like the taste of plain Greek Yogurt, although it's the healthiest way to eat it.
- If you buy the premixed tasty versions in different flavors or add honey, you end up with loads of sugar and carbs.
- 1 cup of flavored yogurt = 25g SUGAR + 28g CARBS + 80 calories (more than unflavored)
- 1 tbsp of Honey = 17g SUGAR + 17g CARBS + 60 calories
My AWESOME SOLUTION!
MIO to the rescue! http://www.kraftbrands.com/mio/about_mio.html
Try it! In your water, in your iced tea, and EVEN YOGURT!
My next idea is to add it to sparkling water. I haven't tried it yet, but it might be a good way to pretend I'm having soda without all the junk....
