This happened to me too. I've not lost anything all week. I figure loss is loss. Inches are just as important, if not more so, than lbs. Don't get discouraged, it may be because of muscle increase... in which case, the lbs will start melting away again soon!0

usually if you are losing inches but not lbs that means you are putting on muscles cause muscles weigh more then fat. So I would still be celebrating that victory.0

It happens to me too. I figure its my body's way of trying to catch up sort of. I find I get more "squishy" and then everything sort of redistributes itself around...then the lbs start going off again. I try not to get too stressed out over the scale. The difference is in how I look in my clothes and how I feel.0

Muscle is more dense than fat, which is why you are smaller but weigh the same. This is good. The more muscle you have, the more efficient you become with burning calries. It also means you will need to start working a little harder to continue on your weight-loss journey.0

Yes! I have been doing well for about 3.5 weeks, inches are coming off, I look better but scale has not budged. Oh well, I don't care .... YET! LOL0

I'm in the same boat at the moment - my poundage fluctuates but my measurements are steadily going down. That's perfectly ok by me since weight fluctuations are normal and really, I don't care if I stay at 200lbs as long as I look like I weigh less.0

^^^Agreed^^^^. Definitely still considered a loss. means you're getting nice and tight. While others may lose weight and get thin you are losing and becoming fit, which means you will be looking much better naked rather than just in your clothes. CELEBRATE!!0 -
I started working out LAST YEAR and have lost zero pounds, zilch, nada! But I look a million times better from lost inches and a toner body. Are you in a healthy BMI weight range for your height? I am and I think that is why the scale has not moved for me, it takes a hellava lot more to get those last 10-15 lbs off than the first. Also, you may not be eating frequently enough. I believe that was my problem too. So this go round I haven't started eating more calories per se, but I'm eating more frequently now. I guess we'll see what happens.
ETA: also have to agree with the above. One good thing about not losing poundage too quickly is our skin does not get loose. It seems my body really does lose from the inside out and luckily I've never had to deal with extra skin because the pounds come of so s-l-o-w-l-y. Rest assured you are getting healthier!0 -
Thank you so much everyone. I feel so much more confident in this journey. MFP really does help you lose weight and has great accountability friends.0
