Genuine support and friendship!

So, I'm not new to MFP. I had another account, but for some reason a lot of people were turning nasty and bitter, so I thought to heck with that! I don't need that, I'm trying to make a POSITIVE change. And yes, I could've just deleted them rather than my account, but I didn't honestly think until it was done and dusted... my bad.

So I'll tell you a little about me. My name's Em, from England. I'm 18 and 5ft 10. I currently weight 210lbs, ouch! I've always been the tubby tod, kid, teen, soon to be adult... but wait, it doesn't have to be like that?! Nuh-uh! I can change - I have the ability, the time, the option AND the determination, regardless that it took a while to 'show' it's face! Since I got MFP, I've lost around 2 stone, so definitely no complaints there. :) Now I'd really like to get the rest of the weight off and start toning properly. I have a year until I go to university next year and (to me anyway) first impressions are vital! I need to impress. :D

So if you want, you can add me or I can add you, either or. I'd just love friends who are here solely to provide support and guidance to HELP, rather than COMPETE. (Friendly challenges aside, as I'm guilty too...) I'll be sure to give the same back. :) Hope to speak soon! xo

  • Do I smell bad or something? Tell me what I said. I'm sorry, I'm SORRY.
  • Hi.....I'm new also, trying to recapture the youth i once knew. And Lord its tough, but i think we can motivate each other. Because going at it alone is hard as heck. Some days i think i spend to much time in the gym, then i use fat burners and they seem to not work. So getting disappointed is easy....very easy. So lets be friends and help each other be healthy and happy.
  • I know all about those disappointing setbacks, BIG time! I'd be happy to help support. I'm sending a request now. :)

  • Feel free to friend me, I don't do competitions on here -- but I enjoy the support I recieve from my friends and support others as best I can. While I am much older than you, friendship and support can come from anywhere.

Good luck on this journey! You can do it!

Good luck to you from across the pond and a continent..LOL!! Everyday is a new day to make our dreams realities. Setbacks are just little ol' speed bumps on the road to fitness. There is no room for negativity, so sorry you had to start a new, but it's a fresh beginning for you and friendships.
  • Thank you everyone!
