Peter V. Brett - The Painted Man

Extremely good book. About a third of the way through and easily the best book I've read since LOTR.

Nelson DeMille. Unlike a lot of writers, he comes out with a book every couple of years, instead of every few months.

I second the Hunger Games by Susanne Collins. Also, try the Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis.
I'd also recommend any of the books written by Karen Kingsbury.

The Mists of Avalon is a good read, though rather long.

SO many, but you should make a profile on Goodreads- it's a great social network for reading.

Currently reading: Storm of Swords (of the Game of Thrones), East of Denver (Gregor Hill), and the Dragon's Luck series by Robert Aspirin

Step On A Crack. By James Patterson and Michael Ledwidge. It's the first of the Michael Bennett Series.

But I am also a Harry Potter fan...hahaha.

    If you like older books...
Alas Babylon by Pat Frank. Written in the 50s about a town in Florida that survives a nuclear attack. Kind of reminded me of the show Jericho but better.

I love David Baldacci books. Similar to John Grisham.

A new book coming out, The 500, is getting fantastic reviews. I downloaded the sample to check it out.

I second The Hunger Game trilogy. You will fly through those.

A friend of mine lives the Lee Child books.

CoN is good, the Hunger Games was also good, BUT, only the first of that series. the 2nd just encourages you to read the 3rd, and one must never, under any circumstances, ever read book #3!! *shudders at memory*

Used to read all kinds of books. Liked the fantasy book series and stuff.

Now I only recommend reading the Bible.
