Since I started on MFP I've lost about 32lbs just by controlling my diet. I'm looking for advice as to what type of exercise would help my journey along as I've never been sporty in my life so I'm a bit of a dunce about such things.

I have about another 70lbs to lose overall. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Try walking since you already know how to do it! If you have the money, treat yourself to a heart rate monitor and a set of "walking clothes" made of a moisture wicking fabric and a good pair of running yes running shoes. Get them from a running specialty store where they will fit you properly for your arch type, etc. Then just hop out the door and get moving! Put on your ipod if that helps! Make it a habit and you will see more toned legs and arms, and the lbs. will start moving off too!

At the risk of answering your question with another question.....is there something in particular that interest you?

Have you always wanted to climb a mountain or cycle across Europe? I'd suggest thinking of something that would really turn your crank and then consider what you have to do to get there. Much more fun that way as you're working towards a life goal.
