How Does Increased Calories when Exercise Work?

I have a caloric goal of 1200 and when I exercise it adds calories so instead of eating 1200 calories for the day, I might eat 1400 since I got more 200 calories from exercise and changes my daily goal. Do those extra calories prevent me from losing weight or should I be eating those calories as recovery?

eat the calories. Exercise needs fuel as does recovery.0

That's what I figured but just wanted to make sure. I didn't want to make it harder for myself if I should be eating the 1200 calories and not the extra. Thank you!0
