You've won already!

I started losing weight a few years ago (about 30 lbs total) and gradually gained about 1/2 of it back. I joined here in December 2011 and now have lost 20lbs and overall 37lbs since Jan 1, 2009. Yep, it was a New Year's resolution! I had never made one before and this first one stuck. I always try to eat healthier and hate the word "diet" to represent a set amount of time to loose weight and then do whatever I did before. No, diet to me is what I eat and if I change it, it will become a habit. I did gain back, but not as much, and now I have a way, a habit, a method of keeping track here and it works for me.
In talking to many people trying to lose weight and become healthier, they become frustrated in gaining back, not losing enough, or in repressing their food intake to try to get to a magic number. It'll never work in the long run if it doesn't work with your overall lifestyle.
So, any of you who took the step of joining here and logging things in - you've won already. You've changed your lifestyle and created a habit.
To all those struggling (and I've been one) to lose so much a week and not have made it...it's okay. Just keep going and you'll do it!
To all those who hit their goals - good job and keep it up!
To everyone - good job! Keep it up! Go for it! Be healthy! Have fun!
Thanks to the people who created this program and what great things it's done for all of us. Let's not be part of the 40% that's predicted for obesity in the future!
