I do not understand what is going on....I started swimming last week mon.-fri. two hours a day getting 3-4 miles in each day. Plus I run and Bike here and there to shake things up a bit.I've eaten my 1200 calories (not under, not over )and somehow I gained a pound this week! It sure stinks when your super excited to get going on a weight loss journey and after the first week you hop on the scale and you gain a pound even with severe life style changes. It doesn't make sense!

Did you eat your exercise calories? You could be going into starvation mode if you dont at least eat most of your exercise calories. :flowerforyou:
You earn a lot of extra calories from swimming.0 -
Did you eat your workout calories? You need to plug in your cardio/weight training so that MFP recalculates your daily calorie needs0

I'm sorry!
Make sure to log your exercise, and eat the extra calories the website gives you.
Also, maybe you gained muscle! Some people swear by measurements, not weight. You could buy a cheap fabric tape measure and look at your waist, thigh, etc to see if there have been any changes.
Don't give up! You are doing wonderful things for your body and learning a healthy lifestyle. :flowerforyou:0 -

Thank you, that was a great article. I've been struggling as well - down a pound up a pound. I feel better though, and my husband keeps telling me he is seeing a difference. So, I'm not going to weigh myself for a couple of weeks and just keep doing what I've been doing and go from there. Hang in there the weight will eventually come off.0
