I suppose I should wait till I lose one more pound to do the happy dance...when I'm at an even 20 lbs down. But I'm just to excited as I've lost MORE then 10% of my "starting MPF" body weight.

I see a couple posters down was struggling without seeing results...well here's MY story.

March 2011 I decided to get healthier....I joined MPF at some point and was using my elliptical often (couple times a week?) Decided by August to do the couch to five k program. I wasn't sure I'd be able to finish it...but it was a pretty cheap phone app an so I wouldn't be out to much if it didn't work out. I waited to buy running shoes (till I was five weeks in) because I still wasn't sure I'd make the committement. Well I graduated!!! And I'm still floored at how much I've come to enjoy running...it's become such a habit i actually pop out of bed at 4:15 AM to get my run in before work, so I don't have to miss time with my babies after!

From March to August I'd lost about 6-10 lbs....christmas came and of course my will power dropped, caught a cold yada yada. So I spent Jan-March RE-losing the holiday weight. Then I went on a cruise for spring break...yep, gained 8 lbs enjoying the buffet to much.

But yesterday I woke up and I'm the lightest I've been since 2000! I'm down 19 lbs on this "leg" of the journey. I'm only 6.5 lbs from my original goal. And now that I'm this close I think I will not be happy once I get there....I might try another five lbs. But I'll make that decision once I actually get there!

This past month the weekly weight has actually really started to move. I think it has to do with my stepped up running program. I'm in training for a relay run that happens in August...and when I looked at the pre-designed run-training plans I went with the intermediate running one. Even though, in my head, I'm still NOT a runner!! The distances I was going to put up were staggering, completely frightening...but I"ve been completing them, and even enjoying myself while I'm at it! So I'm really glad I decided to challenge myself a bit!

I'm worried what my motivation/plan will be once I'm completed with this training program. I really like mapped out, purposeful workouts. I followed the couch to 5 k and it was a mapped out, three days a week, didn't have to think about it running plan. Followed that with the bridge to 10k, again...mapped out, no thoughts. I wake up at 4 am to run currently...again...no thinking as I just follow how many miles I have to put in. But what what happens this fall?

Wow, this was a run on! I just wanted to do the happy dance and ended up pondering a bit! Best wishes if you read all the way to this point!!! Hope you're having a great week!:flowerforyou:
