I love My Fitnesspal! So far, I have lost 4 pounds in 2 and a half weeks! I am struggling though, with trying to balance the carbs and protein in my diet...I can't seem to get enough calories, I can't get enough fat and I go over my quota for carbs and protein. Now, I am not eating big portiions...it seems the carbs are coming from the veggies and fruit I am eating and the protein, well I'm not sure....1/2 a can of tuna has 16 grams of protein, so I've tried to have 1/3 of a can but then I question whether I am eating enough!!!
Does anyone have any advice for me? I would appreciate any help in trying to balance this out....

I can't really help you with the carbs, since I usually don't go over those. But, I can tell you that MFP tends to go too low with their protein allowance. So don't worry about going over with protein. Most days I'm anywhere from 5 to almost 30, and STILL managed to lose the weight.
  • Hi & Welcome!!

I agree w Bren... focus on calories consumed. Dont worry about going over protein allowance-- that is not where most of us have the problem:smile: ...

    Good luck!!
  • Thanks for the tips...Actually since yesterday, I am down (finally) another 1.5 pounds AND I went over on the protein and carbs...so I won't worry so much about those anymore (except I really do nee to watch me carbs like breads etc...
    Thanks ladies!
