Does anyone know of good high protein foods that don't have a high sodium content? I usually get my protein from meat and eggs, don't eat dairy and wonder what other sources are out there that are also low carb and low fat?

Your body needs sodium. Why are you trying to cut it out? What it doesn't need is table salt added to foods, but the sodium naturally present in foods is fine.

In terms of foods with low fat and carbs with a lot of protein, your pretty much looking at fish and poultry.
  • Broccoli, quinoa (super food...gold of the Inca LOL, lentils, garbanzo beans, hummus, soy, kidney beans...I could go on & on. Lots of stuff with much less sodium ;) & higher protien.

None of those are really low carb.

The answer is pretty much lean meat and fish.
  • Fish (mercury), lean meat...OP asked for other alternatives besides meat. ;) The alternatives I provided are high protien, low fat, low sodium & a good carb in moderation (everything should be in moderation).

Well, quinoa actually has less protein, ounce for ounce, than white pasta. For each gram of protein, quinoa has 6 grams of carbs per serving, white pasta has 5 grams of carbs per gram of protein. The OP asked for low carb suggestions, I was just pointing out that they weren't low carb.

Soy Beans, Lentils, Spinach, Broccoli, Hood Calorie Countdown Milk (I use chcoolate), Crystal Farm Liquid Egg Whites (You can put that in fruit smoothies), Protein Mixes

Crystal Farm Liquid Egg White is Awesome!
  • White flour equals gluten. *clean eater* Unprocessed is so much better, sorry. ;) I'm not here to argue with someone that thinks their way is the only correct way. OP asked for OTHER alternatives. *apologizes to OP*
