I reached my goal today!

My goal was 125 and I am 5"4. I started at the beginning of the year @ 145ish. It was mostly tummy fat and big boobs,,, so I kinda just wanted to lose a bit and tone up.. Been doing well I think but still have to keep working on toning up some more..
I been doing mostly cardio stuff like jogging, elliptical, zumba, rowing, walking etc.., but from all the readings I gather I should start doing more strength training now? Right now I been doing that like 2x week And cardio like 3-4x week.
So should I switch over from more cardio to more strength, or should I just focus on strength now? Any advice?
Oh and next weekend I am going to Disney World! haha exctied but worried since I tend to eat more when I travel!

I just wanted to say great job on reaching your goal weight!!! Unfortunately, I really don't have any advice for you on the strength training, since I haven't been doing that. Hope someone else does. Congratulations! :flowerforyou:0

Just keep doing what your doing. it's working great. I love my Cardio and am not big on weight training so I like yoga for toning and sculpting. you can look into adding yoga or pilates into your routine .As far as disney goes, I go every year and always "gain" but you do so much walking I think the gain is mostly water from all the sodium in the food. I drop the gain the first week back just getting back to my regular eating habits.
Congrats on making goal!!0 -
I wouldn't stop the cardio, maybe cut back on the time and then focus more on strength training. Also, try to do resistance exercises that would involve more muscles like push ups, planks, squats. You probably know all of that already. Congratulations by the way on reaching your goal weight.0

Thanks! I will def look into yoga! And you also made me feel better about my disney trip, your right if I do "gain" it will probably just be water retention from all the yummy foods! lol0 -
