How much water to drink a day ?

    To be honest, I have trained myself to drink A LOT of water these days. Probably more than anyone ever needs, but I feel like it is helping me lose weight. (I drink probably 14 cups a day, on average)

    i drink AT LEAST 96 oz a day of plain water :-) helps me feel full and makes my face clearer

    I know some people drink 120 oz of water

    divide your weight by half and that will give you the oz per day you need to drink just to maintain. Additional water is needed if you are also exercising. You need 8-10 oz of water for every hour you exercise ( i am a group exercise instructor).

    Anywhere from 8-10 and if you are a coffee or tea drinkier, for every cup drink two more. Most of the time people don't drink enough water, and go around thinking they are hungry when the body is really asking for more water.

    So true! Caffeinated and alcoholic beverages are diuretics, so the more you drink of these the more water you need. Being dehydrated will also keep you from losing weight if you are trying to drop a few pounds!
